Multi-Day Event Prize for 1st Male and 1st Female Overall Winners: Free Entry to Same Event Next Year

Just under 90 minutes by train from London, the New Forest feels like a world away. Featuring ancient woodland, spectacular glades and incredible open heathland, it's home to thousands of ponies, cattle, donkeys and deer who are free to roam. The New Forest has no markings in the form of signposts or post discs but the route will be well marked with arrow signs at major direction changes with confidence tape. You'll also be given a route card and map, designed to help you through any trickier sections. We recommend familiarising yourself with the route before the start of the race - for more information download our full race instructions.

Other equipment may be made compulsory by the race director depending on the weather.

The event is supported by our course manager and his experienced on-course crew to ensure you have a great event. A fully qualified medical crew will also be there to give first aid and manage any serious medical problems in cooperation with the emergency services. Everything is looked after - all you need to do is run (or jog or walk!)

Just wanted to drop you a line with a huge THANK YOU following my first Ultra experience at yesterday’s Pony Express from Brockenhurst to Moyle Court. I found the whole event a total inspiration - the warmth and help by everyone from the XNRG team through the marshalls and other helpers down to the other competitors themselves who were helpful, knowledgeable and extremely friendly towards a newbie ultra-marathoner. I loved every minute of it (despite the pain!). In particular, the atmosphere was one of a welcoming family of like-minded individuals united by a greater love for their sport rather than who’s got what kit. A truly awesome group of people. My certificate of my first Ultra is proudly on my fridge! Needless to say, this won’t be my last event with you guys…I’ll be back for more. Thanks again, and hope today was also a great success.
