I was recently reading a eBook, and it asked the reader to complete an exercise of summarizing your life’s achievements.

I sat down with a piece of paper and started writing – business achievements, personal achievements, financial achievements, family achievements etc.

Have you ever done this exercise ?

It is very easy in our day to day existence to feel like we are not progressing, or feel like we are not achieving what we want. However if you look back at where you have come from and what you have done, in whatever area of your life you will find remarkable success.

All great achievements require time

I found this exercise quite empowering. It gave me belief that whatever goal I set myself I could achieve it. I had forgotten so many of the achievements I personally enjoyed over the past 30 years.

Having listed the achievements I found it really interesting to draw a line on a piece of paper. The left of the page was when I was about 15 years old, the right of the page was when I was about 70, and slightly right of centre (being nearly 50!) was where I am now. By marking the key milestones up to where I am now, and then marking the key milestones I want to achieve over the next 20 years, it felt like a journey and that the past achievements linked to the future. So the future did not feel like dreams it felt like it would happen, just a question of exactly when.

Have you ever sat down and looked at everything you have achieved ? I would encourage you to do it, you will find it empowering.

Finally this weeks you tube clip to help you condition your mind for success https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjZ0KbJcav0
