Pilgrim Challenge 2017

A MASSIVE Thank you to everyone who took part in this weekend’s Pilgrim Challenge — what an outstanding weekend of inspirational efforts and beautiful trails. Well over 200 runners and walkers joined us for the 9th Pilgrim Challenge for a weekend of taking in some series ultra miles across North Downs Way. It was a superb way to kick off the year, with an amazing effort by all.

A huge well done to all that finished and our winners! Our leading men were Paul Fernandez with 1st place in 8hrs 43mins, 2nd was Dudley Desboriugh in 9hrs 14mins and Andrew Fargus came in 3rd in 9hrs 18. The leading females were Melissa Venables taking 1st place with 9hrs 57mins, a second for Sarah Hill in 10hrs 02mins and Katherine Barrett was 3rd in 11hrs 25. Provisional results for everyone are now up here.

Thanks to our photographers who captured many elated and determined faces this weekend! Full photos will be available in the next day or two, in the mean time there are some for you to download, enjoy and share here.

If you fancy stepping it up a little, we have a brand new three day event up next! The Devils Challenge multi-day, takes place on April 29th-May 1st and takes in 97 miles of the South Down’s Way. Devils’ Challenge Entries.

On the other hand, if you fancy a One Day Ultra instead, or if you’re training for the MDS and looking for one last long outing, Amersham Humanity Direct 31-mile ultra takes place on 11th March. Entries are still available for the One Day Ultra here.
