the Ridgeway path from Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire to Barbury

announce the dates for the “Pilgrim Challenge” 2012. A
multistage race along the North Downs National Trail, the oldest
trade route in England and route used by Pilgrims for
Winchester, Canterbury, Dover & the Continent. The route follows
the North Downs Way from Farnham in Surrey through to Merstham
in Surrey.
The event will suit those who want a new challenge, people looking
for an alternative to running marathons, those training for events
like the Marathon Des Sables or Ultra Trail De Mont Blanc or anyone
who loves seeing the beautiful English countryside.

race calendar. The “Pony Express” New Forest Ultra will be run over
2 days through the “New Forest National Park”
The runs will
take place through Ancient Woods, Pine forests, High Heather Moors
and Grass Lawns. Runners will be treated to some wonderful views
over high plains with glimpses of deer and New Forest Ponies.
This event will
suit those who want a new challenge at ultra distance, people
looking for an alternative to running marathons, those training for
events like the Marathon des Sables or anyone who loves seeing the
beautiful English countryside in the New Forest.

The
"Fan Dance" Pen-y-Fan 2012
Ultimate Test of Mental and Physical Endurance

Extreme
Energy are delighted to introduce the 2012 “Fan Dance” the
ultimate test of mental and physical endurance running / walking
or crawling up the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons. The
Brecon
Beacon National Park is one of the most beautiful areas in the
country with stunning views from every angle.
Competitors
will climb to the top of Pen-y-fan, down to 3 different
checkpoints in the fastest time they can achieve. This route and
the peak of Pen-y-fan are very familiar to the British Army as
this event is very similar to one of the main tests that our
special forces have to pass.
The
event will only be run on Saturday 19th May 2012.
The event is

Round The Island Isle of Wight Multistage Ultra

After the great success of the 2010 and
2011 Round The Island
event, Extreme Energy are delighted to put in the diary the Round
The Island 2012 multistage ultra, following the Isle of Wight
Coastal Path. The Round The Island sailing race is an annual,
famous event which up to 2000 yachts take part in every year, from
professional racers on huge yachts to amateurs and families on their
smaller boats. So we thought wouldn’t it be fun to run a Round The
Island Race on the same weekend.
This event will suit those who want a new challenge,
people looking for an alternative to running marathons, those
training for events like the Marathon des Sables or anyone who would
just wants a fabulous scenic run around the Isle of Wight with a
great fun environment and great bunch of people.
