Competitor Update 3
This is the 3rd weekly email to all competitors in the
Druid Challenge.
I am delighted to tell you that the event is now
full. We have over 150 people running over the 3 days. With 140 plus
running the full 3 days. All the admin is looking great for the
weekend, so we are shaping up for a great event and fun weekend.
All Druid Challenge Competitors, below are a few
updates for this week to keep you in the picture.
I have been contacted by Ashridge Estate this week
notifying me that we are not allowed any "tents" at the car park
where we are holding registration because it is near an ancient
monument! I want to make you aware of this, because if the weather
is bad it is pretty exposed. So please come prepared with
waterproofs, warm clothes etc. We will not keep you hanging around
and will get you off as quickly as possible. Hopefully the weather
will be good so this will not be a problem.
If this is your first time doing something this
challenging please don't go through the pain without trying to raise
money for charity. Please print down one of our sponsorship forms
from the website and get round your friends / families and
colleagues to raise money for Help for Heroes.
I have only heard from 1 competitor, running day 2
and 3 or day 2 or 3 only, who would like to stay on the Friday or
Saturday night. If you would like to stay either night please let me
know asap as food is being ordered and purchased.. As I mentioned
before there will be a charge of £15 per person, per night for this.
I am assuming that all people running the 3 day Druid Challenge will
be staying both nights in the accommodation we are providing (all
food and accommodation is part of your entry fee). If you are making
your own arrangements please let me know as I need to let both sets
of accommodation know exactly how many people will be staying
overnight for safety reasons.
Finally we will be loading the full list of
competitors onto the website over the next week so please keep an
eye on the website to see who you are competing against !!
