ALPS ULTRA TRAINING WEEK
17th – 24th June 2017
Come and join the Extreme Energy team for an all-inclusive alpine ultra run/walking training week.
The objective of the week is to prepare those people who are taking part in the UTMB®, TDS®, CCC®, OCC® or as an opportunity to spend a week, running, walking and enjoying the stunning French Alps.

The week is based out of Brides Les Bains which is in the Savoie Valley just up from Moutiers. It is part of the 3 Vallees ski region. Brides Les Bains is named after the natural thermal springs which rise out of the mountain and into the centre of the town.
The training area includes the stunning Vanoise National Park, the Tarantaise Valley, and the Mont Blanc Massif area from valley floors to mountain peaks up to 2900m (snow permitting!)
There is a very large Health Spa a few minutes’ walk from the accommodation, it is a pleasant facility after a tough day in the mountains.
We will be staying in Residence Cybelle high quality apartments with good facilities, such as swimming pool, sauna, reception, games room etc. The apartments are large very well fitted and comfortable. There are 2 rooms, one with a double bed and en suite shower, one with bunk beds and bunk beds in the entrance hall way. The sitting rooms are large and comfortable and all apartments have a balcony.
There will be maximum of 5 people in each apartment. For single occupancy of the double en-suite room (where available) there will be an extra charge.
The Extreme Energy team will provide breakfast each day and a pack lunch. Evening meals will be in a local village restaurant for 6 nights. 1 night we will organise an optional evening out doing something different (at an extra cost)
Maximum of 15 people.
£1250 per person per week – an additional £100 for the double bed with the en-suite bathroom as sole occupancy.
On registration we will ask for a £300 non-refundable deposit to secure a place.
The balance of £950 due 8 weeks prior to departure.

Week Activity Outline
Each day there will be 3 groups of people going at different speeds doing different distances.
Saturday – arrive/pick up from Geneva, transfer to Brides Les Bains, 1.5 – 2 hour run before supper.
Sunday – 4-5 hour run from Brides les Bains, return to Brides Les Bains
Monday – 5-7 hour run from Meribel Mottaret – high altitude lots of climbing including Petit Mont Blanc – finish in Pralong
Tuesday – 6-7 hour steep climbing run from Brides Les Bains – potential to finish at white water rafting base and come back down the river in a rubber boat !
Wednesday – 10-16 hours – long distance and night phase. Various starts to include Le Gand Bec finish Pralong or Bozel around 0200 Thursday morning
Thursday – late start, optional 1 – 2 hour run, Spa Session (massage bookings need to be made in advance) or just relax.
Friday - route and time to be decided based on group fitness – finale dinner and award presentations
Saturday – short run then pack up and transfer to the airport (or depending on flight departure time an opportunity to go to Chamonix for a run on part of the UTMB® course).
We can book the Spa any day that you would like. There are also other activities, like mountain biking, white water rafting, paragliding etc. that we could organise, individually or as a group depending on how we all feel

* water containers to carry a minimum of 2 litres
