Round The Island Isle of Wight Multistage Ultra
June 19th to 20th 2010
69 miles 2 days
Read of event reports for the
Extreme Energy Round The Island multistage
ultra that followed the Isle of Wight Coastal Path.
The Round The
Island sailing race is an annual, famous event which up to 2000
boats take part in every year, from professional races on huge
yachts to amateurs and families on their smaller boats. So we thought
wouldn’t it be fun to run a Round The Island Race on the same
weekend. The event meant running clockwise round the island which
meant that amongst the stunning
views of the main land and the English Channel competitors would be able to
see all the boats come around the Island as the afternoon went on.

The Fan Dance -
Pen-y-fan
Ultimate Test of Mental and Physical Endurance
May 22nd– 23rd 2010
Read our event
report for the Extreme Energy "Fan Dance" Challenge, the
ultimate test of mental and physical endurance running / walking or
crawling up the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons. The Brecon
Beacon National Park hosted the event and is one of the most
beautiful areas in the country with stunning views from every angle.
Competitors climbed to the top of Pen-y-fan and then down
to 3 different checkpoints, as many times as they could and be back to
the start within 5 hours. This route and the peak of Pen-y-fan are very
familiar to the British Army as this event is very similar to one of
the main tests that our special forces have to pass.

Wendover Woods Family Adventure Challenge
October 3rd 2009
The weather was very kind to us for this event. The
weather was looking a little suspect
to start with, but then it started to improve and finished as a
fabulous day.
All teams competed at the level they wanted to, some teams
competing really hard for top honours whilst some just enjoyed the
day out.

Last weekend saw the New Forest
Family Adventure Challenge take place on a beautiful sunny day. The
location was perfect for the event and everyone who came said how
much they enjoyed themselves, young and older alike.
Bolderwood
was the perfect location for this Challenge. This was a brand new
location for our Family Adventure Challenges and it proved to be a
great success with this event. Bolderwood is a well known location
because of the numerous tracks / paths and the deer sanctuary.
Bolderwood has something different to give to every competitor and
all this is set in the beautiful surroundings of The New Forest.

Running 240kms
across the Sahara Desert in 40 – 50 degrees of heat carrying all you
need to survive on for 7 days is an awesome challenge, but one I
fancied taking on. In March 2007 I entered the “allegedly” toughest
foot race on earth, the Marathon Des Sables...
