10 years of the Druid's Challenge

10 years of the Druid's Challenge

9th-11th November 2018
3 days | 84 miles
The Ridgeway (Buckinghamshire - Wiltshire)

Over a decade ago, we organised the very first Druid's Challenge. Since then, over 1,000 people have run the route - many several times.

We've had celebrities and people from their teens through to their seventies completing the 84 miles (which started originally as 82!)

Historic and well-loved, the 5,000-year old Ridgeway has proved especially popular among those stepping up to their first multi-day ultra, as well as those training for events like the Marathon Des Sables.

In three weeks, we'll be returning to conquer the Druid's Challenge once again - don't miss it!

Come one, come all

To mark the tenth anniversary in style, we'd love to welcome back as many people as possible from previous years - particularly anyone who ran the first event in 2009! We'll be handing out commemorative buffs, and there will be special celebrations all weekend. Book now >

New for this year

If sleeping in school halls isn't for you, there's a Premier Inn and a Travelodge a few miles from each overnight location, and we'll be offering lifts there and back each day.  Please note that you need to book direct with the hotel. So, why not book the full event (without accommodation or food) and have a comfortable bed instead? Click the 'single day' option on the booking system when you start your booking - and let us know your plans. Find out more on our event page >

We've also arranged for competitors to be able to leave their cars near Swindon on Friday morning and book a place on our shuttle coach to the start - leaving your car ready at Sunday's finish. The coach will leave at 7am to reach the start - so if you're planning to use this option, you might want to stay overnight on Thursday nearby. There are plenty of hotels around the M4 Swindon Junction and we've negotiated discounts with a couple - find out more on our event page >

We look forward to welcoming you all to a very special Druid's Challenge.
